Parental Choice Program WSAS Results

Data and Results for the MPCP, RPCP, and WPCP

Summary reports of performance on the ACT, Forward, Badger, WKCE, and WAA-SwD for Milwaukee Parental Choice Program (MPCP), Racine Parental Choice Program (RPCP) , and Wisconsin Parental Choice Program (WPCP) students for Fall 2010 through the present administration. Data includes number enrolled, percent not tested, and percentages of enrolled at minimal, basic, proficient, and advanced categories.

Beginning with the 2015-16 school year, the Forward Exam is administered to students in grades 3-8 in English language arts and mathematics, grades 4 and 8 in science, and grades 4, 8 and 10 for social studies.

Beginning with the 2014-15 school year, the ACT exam is administered to 11th grade students instead of the WKCE for English language arts and mathematics.

Beginning with the 2014-15 school year, the Badger exam is administered to students in grades 3-8 instead of the WKCE for English language arts and mathematics.

Beginning with the Fall 2014 administration, the WKCE and WAA-SwD only consist of science and social studies. Prior administrations also included reading, mathematics, and language arts. The Department has adjusted performance standards (cut scores) for the WKCE reading and mathematics content areas to more closely align with national and international expectations of what was required to be college and career ready. The higher cut scores were comparable to the National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP) cut scores. These cut scores were in place for the Fall 2012 and 2013 administrations. Results have been recalculated for the Fall 2010 and Fall 2011 administrations to show how schools would have performed had these cut scores been in effect at that time. The recalculated results, as well as the original results, are presented below.
