DLM has created a Guide to Practice Activities and Released Testlets and can be found on the DLM Wisconsin Webpage.
Released testlets are like real testlets. They assess a variety of Essential Elements and linkage levels, in English language arts, mathematics, and science in grades 3-11. Some testlets are administered by the teacher or other qualified test administrator. The test administrator uses instructions onscreen to guide the test administration. Other testlets are taken by the student directly on the computer.
DLM has prepared practice activities and many released testlets for educators who wish to see sample items before operational testing.
- The practice activities are designed to familiarize users with the way testlets look in the KITE system. One is for teachers and the other is for students.
- The released testlets are similar to the real testlets used in the field tests.
- Practice activities are accessed through KITE in the practice section.
If you have questions or technical problems with the practice activities or released testlets, please contact the Help Desk at (855) 277-9751 (toll free) or DLMfirstname.lastname@example.org. The Help Desk is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Central Time.
