Environmental Education Stipulation

Requirement

Environmental education is required for all teachers in regular education (EC,EC-MC, MC-EA, K-9), agriculture, science and social studies licenses in accordance with Wisconsin State statute §118.19(8) and PI 34.022(2).

Description

Educators must demonstrate knowledge and understanding of environmental education including the conservation of natural resources.

Environmental education teaching methods through UW-SP continuing education or through the Wisconsin Center for Environmental Education

Any identified statutory stipulation that can be fulfilled through coursework can be completed at any approved program. However, the above includes information on programs created to specifically address the needs of educators who hold licenses with statutory stipulations.
