The Department of Public Instruction (DPI) is emailing those lifetime license holders who still need to complete a background check and verification of work history to maintain their lifetime license. Those emails will be sent between June 17 and 21, 2024, with the steps that need to be taken. This is the third notice sent following notifications in January and April. The requirements to maintain a lifetime license are found in Wisconsin Administrative Code §PI 34.041 and Wisconsin Statutes §118.19 (10)(b) and §118.19 (18)(c).
