Goal Oriented Achievement Learning Skills

Overview

Goal Oriented Achievement Learning Skills (GOALS) is a certification curriculum developed by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction's (DPI) School Nutrition Team (SNT). School meals programs requirements make it critical for school nutrition staff to be adequately trained and have the skill set necessary to not only provide students with nutritious meals, but also to have the administrative skills needed to operate a successful school meals program.

Benefits of earning a GOALS Certificate of Excellence include:

  • Training resources that satisfy USDA Professional Standards regulations.
  • Compatibility with the School Nutrition Association’s certification program.
  • Opportunities for career advancement in the field of school nutrition for food service employees that do not have a formal degree.
  • The opportunity to be recognized for their expertise in the field of school nutrition and the critical role they play in ensuring Wisconsin students are well nourished and ready to learn!

Through completion of training requirements, school nutrition professionals can be awarded a GOALS Certificate of Excellence signed by Wisconsin's State Superintendent of Public Instruction!

GOALS Curriculum

After selecting a GOALS curriculum (below), school nutrition professionals will access, complete, and track trainings using resources on the GOALS webpages.
