American School Counselor Association (ASCA)
The American School Counselor Association (ASCA) provides national leadership to school counselors as they support the academic, career, and social/emotional development of students. Position papers, research, professional development, advocacy, and publications are resources available to members of ASCA and are available on the ASCA website.
Wisconsin School Counselor Association (WSCA)
The vision of the Wisconsin School Counselor Association is for Wisconsin to be the model for excellence in equitable school counseling practice, exemplified by the advocacy, leadership, and expertise of the members of the WSCA.
The mission of the Wisconsin School Counselor Association is to advance the profession of school counseling in preschool through post-secondary in order to maximize the academic performance, career planning, and personal/social growth of every student. Center for School Counseling Outcome Research
The Center for School Counseling Outcome Research is dedicated to improving the practice of school counseling by developing the research base that is necessary for responsible and effective practice. The Center provides national leadership in the measurement and evaluation of the outcomes of school counseling interventions and programs. American Counseling Association (ACA)
The American Counseling Association (ACA) has dedicated itself to helping professional counselors and counselor educators with the resources, services, products and information they need to be successful. Resources are available on the ACA website. Wisconsin is part of the ACA—Midwest Region, and has its own branch, the Wisconsin Counseling Association (WCA).
The Council of National School Counseling and College Access Organizations
National School Counseling and College Access Organizations working together to ensure counseling, advisement, and post-secondary preparation and success for all students by supporting professionals who serve in this capacity. National Association of College Admission Counseling (NACAC)
National Association of College Admission Counseling (NACAC) represents professionals in enrollment, admissions, and counseling roles who support students with choosing and planning their post secondary education. Members are from secondary schools, community-based organizations, colleges and universities. Visit the NACAC website for more information and resources.
The Wisconsin Association for College Admission Counseling (WACAC)
WACAC is the state-level affiliate group of the National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC). Members have access to resources, networking, and best practices for helping Wisconsin students prepare for post-secondary education and training. The WACAC website provides additional information.
