Social and Emotional Learning Training Opportunities

Introduction

The training resources that are provided here can help you to implement social and emotional learning (SEL) in a systemic way, across the district, school, or agency. Effective SEL implementation is both explicit instruction and integration of SEL across all environments.

While DPI staff are unable to provide individual direct training to teachers, youth service professionals, schools, or districts, the DPI and the Wisconsin Safe and Healthy Schools (WISH) Center provide some different training opportunities for learning about SEL and SEL implementation. The objectives of all of these trainings are to:

  • Provide districts, schools, and community agencies with the skills, tools, and resources to fully implement SEL;
  • Build local capacity to train staff and implement SEL;
  • Reduce barriers to accessing training;
  • Sustain SEL practices.

In addition to the resources below, please see the 2018-19 SEL webinar topics here.

It gives all students, regardless of their background, the opportunity to be heard and to have their voices represented.
