21st CCLC Youth Review Panel

Friday, December 8, 2023

The 21st Century Community Learning Center (21st CCLC) team is currently recruiting middle and high school-aged students to play a crucial role in the 2024 21st CCLC competition. We are seeking to implement youth voice and perspective by establishing a youth panel that will view and score videos that are submitted as part of the 21st CCLC grant application. This application is open to all current middle and high school students in the state of Wisconsin.

Selected students for the 21st CCLC Youth Review Panel will receive payment of $75 upon completion of the required training and $15 per video reviewed. Participation will also provide meaningful benefits such as the opportunity to network with other community-oriented peers, a chance to develop professional skills and critical thinking, and gain experience that may enhance their résumé.

The overall time commitment will be dependent upon the number of applications received and the number of participants on the Youth Review Panel. Accommodations will be made to ensure that students are able to fulfill their school commitments. Participants will not be permitted to review videos for applications with potential conflicts of interest. The anticipated window for review will be between February 5, 2024, and February 22, 2024.

Students interested in this unique opportunity should complete the linked application form by December 15, 2023. For more information, please contact jake.wilson@dpi.wi.gov.
