LIVE Session with Q&A: So, You Have Your Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief (ESSER) III Funds…Now What? with Laura Adams - Presentation Slides
An overview of federal guidelines and resources to support planning for use of ESSER III funds that meet the 20% requirement for addressing the academic impact of lost instructional time through evidence-based improvement strategies (EBIS). Examples of academic and social and emotional learning EBIS that can be implemented both during and outside of the regular school day will be shared. There will be time available for questions at the end of the presentation.
This pre-recorded session will introduce the outline and content from the updated WI Mental Health Framework, which provides a vision for building supports to improve system functioning and student and adult wellbeing. Key terms and concepts will be described to improve the ability of school staff to message the work to stakeholders.

LIVE Session with Q&A: Understanding the Differences: Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) Competence Assessment and Social, Emotional, and Behavioral (SEB) Screening and Assessment with Julie Incitti, Teri LeSage, and Tim Peerenboon - Presentation Slides and Session Handout
This session will provide information on the differences between SEL competency assessment, universal SEB screening, and more targeted SEB assessment. Additional supports and resources related to comprehensive SEL and SEB assessment planning and effective practices will also be provided, and time will be available for questions.

Part 1: The School-Based Mental Health Professionals Educational Consultant and Project Evaluator will provide an overview of the School Based Mental Health Professionals Project. DPI’s State School Nurse Consultant will share what is currently known about the recommended prevention strategies and mitigation measures surrounding what continues to be a global pandemic.
