WI State Performance Plan (SPP), Indicator #17

Indicator 17

Indicator 17: Since 2015, the Part B SPP/APR and Part C SPP/APR have included A State Systemic Improvement Plan through which each state focuses its efforts on improving a state selected learner or family outcome during a five-year cycle. The SSIP outlines our broad strategies with detailed improvement activities to achieve our State-Identified Measurable Result for Children with Disabilities (SiMR) which is currently to increase literacy outcomes for learners with IEPs in grades 3-5 as measured by our state test, the Forward Exam. With input from interested parties, Wisconsin chooses this focus, how it’s measured, and the strategies we believe have the greatest likelihood of improving this focus.

The first SSIP cycle took place from 2015-2020. During this cycle annual progress was submitted to OSEP on a separate timeline compared to the other Indicators. The current cycle runs from 2021-2025. Beginning with the 2021 submission, annual progress reports are submitted at the same time as the rest of the Part B and Part C SPP/APR so are no longer represented as a separate document.

Below are links to the reports submitted to OSEP for each year of the cycles and the response from OSEP for those for which there is one.
