APH Federal Quota Program Update

Thursday, January 11, 2024

Given the changes to the eligibility criteria for the American Printing House (APH) Federal Quota Program for 2024, states have been given additional time. Therefore, we created new and extended deadlines. Please review the following information and discuss it as an local educational agency or designee team. Attached below is the digital training presentation that was provided yesterday, January 9, 2024, to Wisconsin Teachers of Students with Visual Impairments (TVIs).

The new deadline to add new students is March 1, 2024, following the 2024 APH Census Registration Instruction. The new deadline to obtain the Parent or Guardian Permission forms May 1, 2024. Remember to maintain these in your district or agency.

Please register students who will qualify and work to attain their Parent or Guardian permission form. Write “no” for parent permission and in the notes section to state that you are “in progress” of obtaining the form. When you formally have the Parent or Guardian permission form signed and on file in your district or agency, please submit this APH Census FERPA Received form no later than May 1, 2024.
