Over the past year, there have been many contributors to the development of the Pupil Count for Membership Pilot Program. Special thanks to the DPI Applications Development and Management team, the WISEdata Collections Development team, external partners and the School Financial Services team. Thank you to all the contributors.
In 2022-23, DPI worked with a pilot group of school districts and vendors to push pupil membership data. The districts’ feedback provided and assisted in the development of the Pupil Membership Count Report. Until the report is fully developed and tested over the next two years, the PI-1563 in SAFR will remain the official reporting portal for pupil membership data.
In 2023-24, Phase 2 of the Pupil Count for Membership Pilot Program will be completed:
- Current pilot school districts will follow reporting processes in both WiSFiP and SAFR
- Other school districts may be included in the pilot based on capacity
- Data quality issues will be addressed in the student information system and data will be resubmitted to WiSFiP
Current Plan for Future Years: 2024-25 and 2025-26
- July 1, 2024 - June 30, 2025 – Dual reporting for all school districts (PI-1563 in SAFR and the new Pupil Count module in WiSFiP). This will be similar to the dual reporting with WISEdata Finance.
- July 1, 2025 - June 30, 2026 – New Pupil Count module in WiSFiP operates on its own and the PI-1563 in SAFR is no longer used.
