Late last spring, DPI announced that the federal stimulus grant programs—ESSER I, II and III as well as GEER—will require quarterly claims, beginning with the period ending June 30, 2021. Even if your LEA did not start spending funds by June 30 in a particular stimulus program, you will still need to submit a claim for $0 in WISEgrants as there is some required reporting to complete.
If your district/LEA has not yet submitted claims for budgeted and liquidated ESSER I, ESSER II, or GEER expenditures from March 13, 2020 through June 30, 2021, you will need to do so by September 30, 2021. ESSER III is not yet available in WISEgrants so there will not be any claims.
Quarterly claims for the stimulus grant programs are due by the end of the following quarter:
