We updated:

We added a recording of the WISE New User Training to the “New User Training” section of the “Slides, Recordings, and Videos” page.

We updated the steps in the "Request the DSA Role" section and added a "Troubleshoot DSA Access" section on the WISEsecure Tasks for District Security Administrators (DSAs) page.

We published New User Cohort and Mentors for New WISE Users. Each page includes a link to the respective signup form.

KBAs for validations:

We added instructions on how to remove a single user role on the to Assign Access to WISEhome Applications webpage.

We added preliminary information to the 2027 WISE Conference page and archived the 2026 WISEdata Conference page.

We updated Validation Warning 6498.

PS and WISE webpages: 

DPI’s website is now on an updated platform. Expect small changes over the coming weeks as we adjust the website settings so that it appears and behaves similarly to the site’s previous platform.

We updated Access Files or Folders from DPI with steps to:

  • open files in a browser tab (Microsoft Office online)
  • open files in Google Drive
  • open files in LibreOffice (a suite of apps like Microsoft Office’s, in which the desktop version is free)

The "day" view of the WISE Events Calendar is no longer a separate webpage; it is now an option embedded on the "month" view of the calendar.

We created a Knowledge Base Article (KBA) for Validation Warning 7512.

We created a user guide for the new WISEdash Public Portal, which currently houses the new Homeless Dashboard and will eventually house all WISEdash Public dashboards.

4/14/26

We increased the accessibility of numerous KBAs. These updates improve the user experience with a screen reader or keyboard navigation.

We updated Validation Error 6385.

As part of the Department of Public Instruction’s strategic plan and commitment to modernizing and improving the agency and in preparation for the April 24, 2026, Title II ADA digital accessibility deadline, our department is currently undertaking a major update to our external website (dpi.wi.gov)

Over the next several months, you will notice changes to portions of our website, including updates to information and various resources. During this transition, some resources or information may be temporarily unavailable on our website or relocated as we review, revise, and remediate content to meet accessibility standards.

These improvements are part of our commitment to making our website and materials more usable for you and fully accessible to all. We understand how important these resources are to your work, and ensuring they are accessible to everyone is our primary focus during this effort.

Please contact Partner Support if you are unable to locate a resource you need or have questions about information that may have been moved or temporarily unavailable during this update.
